If you're a gamer you'll be well aware that Microsoft's latest next-gen consoles, Xbox Series X and it's smaller cousin the Xbox Series S have arrived!
Although with something so anticipated and hyped up, comes huge attention and the internet is full of 'con artists' and 'trolls' aiming to create a meme to trick people into thinking the latest console release is riddled with unfortunate and serious issues.
If you haven't seen or heard already, there is a trend of video clips hitting the internet in their masses showcasing the latest Xbox Series X literally smoking from the top. Initial reactions for many is that the new Xbox is that graphically intensive that it bursts in to flames.
Viral Xbox Series X Smoking
The good news is that this is definitely a hoax with no risk to your £500+ gaming console, not with immediate fire damage anyway. So what's actually happening?
Thankfully other videos have emerged showing people blowing vapour clouds into the bottom of their Xbox Series X console which is where the intake airflow fan is, this is moving the vapour through the console and being blown out the top through the extracting airflow fan which in turn is making it look as if the Xbox is smoking.

Microsoft Statement
Obviously blowing vapour which is water based through anything electronical is not great practice. Microsoft have also gone public addressing this latest meme having to point out that you shouldn't be putting vapour through their products, they wrote on Twitter:
"We can't believe we have to say this, but please do not blow vape smoke into your Xbox Series X"
After this official statement by Microsoft, Aaron Greenberg a marketing official for Microsoft also posted on Twitter pleading people not to blow vape through their consoles:
"put down the vape and pick up the controller. A whole new generation as always!"
Don't Blow Vapour Into Your Xbox
If you're thinking about joining the latest meme craze, you should really think twice about it. Water based liquid vapour can cause internal damage to an electrical component which we're sure is not something you would want to do with your latest expensive gaming console!
Although you may find the immediate amusement with this meme, viral behaviour that brings negative attention to the vaping industry can harm the efforts of keeping vaping legal and widely available to responsible vaping consumers.
